General Accountability

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Coordinator with a background in manufacturing to join our team. The HSE Coordinator, will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring our company’s compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental standards. As well as ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees throughout the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety protocols, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive compliance with HSE and HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal guidelines and State, Federal, and Safety Laws, including but not limited to OSHA, FLSA, Workers Comp., ADA, DOT, and DNR regulations.
  • Manage and oversee key areas such as the Employee Safety Program, Company Fleet, Employee Training initiatives, Safety Committee operations, Light Duty program, and associated action plans.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare reports, and maintain positive relationships with our parent company and other governing bodies (insurance providers, contractors, vendors).
  • Handle worker compensation claims, employee incidents, and conduct thorough security and safety investigations as needed, including employee conflict resolution and complaint management, while recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated.

Qualifications

  • Preferably three (3) years of experience in HSE.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with diverse personalities, including co-workers, managers, and other stakeholders, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates initiative, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and respects privacy.
